1. Who we are

Subnetly is a product of Swytch IT Limited, a company registered in New Zealand. Our website is subnetly.app. You can contact us at privacy@swytchit.co.nz.

2. What data we collect

We collect minimal data, and only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Network planning data — sites, subnets, VLANs, and devices you create are stored locally in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
• Purchase information — if you purchase a licence, your payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy. We receive a licence identifier to verify your purchase. We do not receive or store your card details.
• Basic analytics — we may use privacy-respecting analytics (no cookies, no cross-site tracking) to understand how many people use the tool. No personally identifiable information is collected.

3. What we do not collect

• We do not collect, transmit, or store your network topology data on our servers
• We do not use advertising tracking cookies
• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We do not require account registration to use the free calculator

4. Local storage

Your network planning projects are stored in your browser's localStorage. This means:

• Your data stays on your device
• Clearing your browser data will delete your projects — export a backup regularly
• Your data is not synced across devices in the free or web workspace tiers

5. Payment processing

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. When you purchase a Subnetly licence, you are subject to Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy. Lemon Squeezy handles all payment data, tax compliance, and receipts. We receive only a purchase confirmation and licence identifier.

6. Cookies

The Subnetly web app uses localStorage to store your preferences (theme, licence status) and project data. We do not use tracking cookies. The Lemon Squeezy checkout overlay may set cookies as part of their payment processing — see their privacy policy for details.

7. Third-party services

Subnetly uses the following third-party services:

• Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and licence management
• Vercel — website and application hosting
• Google Fonts — font delivery (DM Sans, DM Mono, Syne)

8. Your rights

Under New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 and applicable international law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

9. Data retention

Purchase records are retained for 7 years as required by New Zealand tax law. Network planning data is stored locally in your browser and is not retained by us. If you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence for up to 3 years.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of Subnetly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
